After a long search, one of VSIL's permanent members has shown an interest in the journalist position the board advertised in mid-April. This position reports to the PR manager, who has long expressed a desire for more transparency around the board and the administrative bodies in VSIL.
"The journalist position should function as a neutral way to show activities, training, the board and the team managers' planning and efforts. At the same time, we want greater publicity around the social events at the school, which a journalist would definitely contribute to" - Karl Magnus Eriksen, public relations manager in Vestfold Studentidrettslag.
Mali Fjøse Foss is a committed girl who has long been active in VSIL and constantly participated in various social events. With always a good mood and positive attitude, she is an excellent candidate for the role of journalist. Mali will soon begin his fifth year as a lecturer student in history and is therefore well indoctrinated on Campus. In addition, this girl has studied Norwegian as a side subject and has good prerequisites for wonderful articles, reports and interviews.
Mali has previously done cross-country skiing and shooting, but in the last year the climbing group in VSIL has taken her on new adventures. Now she looks forward to the new semester with ambition and has already planned a number of projects that will increase the visibility of student sports on Campus.
"I look forward to telling the stories of our amazing athletes, covering exciting matches and events, and working to increase interest in sports among students. It is important to show the breadth and diversity of VSIL, and I hope to contribute to build a stronger community through my texts" - Mali Foss, Journalist in Vestfold Studentidrettslag.
Vestfold Studentidretslag faces an exciting time with Mali Foss as a new journalist. Her presence will undoubtedly raise the quality of the coverage of student sports and help to strengthen unity among the members. The VSIL board looks forward to following her work and the positive changes it will bring.
Welcome to VSIL, Mali! We and our members look forward to reading your first articles and following your insights into the world of student sports.
